The best Formentera Beach Guide

From the south of the coast of Ibiza, you can catch a fast ferry and in 30 minutes you will be in the Mediterranean paradise, also called the Spanish Caribbean.

Formentera is made up of two islands, the small one is called Isla de Espalmador which has two spectacular beaches (Playa de S’Alga and Playa de Sa Torreta) and the main island, Formentera island where you will find white sand beaches and crystal clear waters joining the brilliant blue of the island.

Each of the beaches you will find all the desired information, services it includes, length and how busy it can be. You will also find photos of the beach and google maps of that specific beach.

Es Racó de S’Alga

It is a small cove with wooden jetties and fishermen’s huts, its name comes from seeing dead Posidonia leaves.

Sa Torreta

This beautiful and deserted cove is located in the northern part of the island of Espalmador.

Playa del Tanga

Located at the northern tip of the island, but in the eastern area, as its name indicates, it is one of the largest.

Sa Roqueta

This beach is located in the municipality of Es Pujols, halfway between the Ses Canyes and Levante.

 

Es Pujols

This beach is like most of the beaches in Formentera, it is an extensive stretch of fine sand and crystal clear waters.

Punta d’Es Trucadors

It is located on the northern tip, a strip of sand that extends towards the neighboring island of Ibiza.

Ses Illetes

Declared one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, one of the landscapes of Formentera.

Es Cavall d’en Borràs

This cove has quite limited dimensions and fine white sand with turquoise sea with sandy and shallow seabed.

Es Codol Foradat

Es Codol Foradat is a comfortable and accessible beach through an unpaved road, but in good condition.

Es Vogamarí

Located in the Migjorn area, one of the largest areas of sand in Formentera, occupying the entire southern.

Cala Saona

Cala Saona is known for being the jewel of the western coast of Formentera, being the only sandy beach.

Es Arenals

Es Arenals is located in the Migjorn area, a long and wide beach where you will also have all the services you need.

Es Caló

Es Caló de Sant Agustí beach has very fine white sand with crystal clear waters, a beauty that exudes.

Es Copinar

A small stretch of beach in the southernmost part of Migjorn, Es Copinar gets its name from the shells.

Playa de Migjorn

It is located on the southern side of the island, that stretch of land still intact and rich in vegetation. 

Es Caló D’es Mort

It is a small cove surrounded by large rocks, it is located in the Migjon area, areas with crystal clear waters.
