ES RACÓ DE S’ALGA BEACH

This paradisiacal and virgin beach is characterized by having a kilometric dimension, formed by fine pinkish white sand, an extensive dune system occupying its rear part, fixed by junipers and crystal clear water.

One of its attractions is sulfurous mud bath, supposedly has beneficial effects for the skin, although due to the privacy of the island is prohibited access. The marine and underwater conditions advise anchoring a boat taking maximum precautions, since there are reefs, islets, restinga and a scarce depth, although a small boat is the perfect way to get to know the island.

The access to the beach of S’Alga can only be arried out by boat, either privately owned or with the Barca Bahia that makes a regular line to the island of Espalmador leaving the Port of La Savina and the beach of Illetas. Even so, it registers a massive affluence of local bathers and tourists.

Restaurants and bars

We recommend the visit to Espalmador because it is a unique occasion to access an island completely deserted since it does not have any kind of service such as restaurants, kiosks, bars, hammocks or umbrellas, just an extensive beach to enjoy one of the waters most clean on the island.
