CALA BENIRRAS
This cove is called Port de Benirrás by local fishermen, it is about 160 meters long and is surrounded by densely pineed cliffs. The beach is a mix of pebbles and sand with rocks at both ends of the beach.
The bay’s crystal clear sea makes the cove a popular snorkeling spot, but caution is required due to the amount of shipping traffic in the bay. The lateral rocks house several fishermen’s huts in dry dock.
The sheltered bay is a popular anchorage for private yachts and power boats during the day, but especially in the late afternoon when there are spectacular sunset views.
Every Sunday a drumming ritual with hippies is celebrated, a party that comes alive during the sunset period in this magical cove.
