The island of the United Arab Emirates that wants to unseat Ibiza – Dream Island

The Dream Island project is an artificial island that was thought to compete with the world of leisure in Ibiza, where it has been standing still for years, but it seems that it is returning to the fray.

It does so with the next Wynn Resort of the United Arab Emirates that will be located in this place, it is a part of the artificial island Marjan of the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, 40 minutes from Dubai and that was sold as the place to unseat Ibiza for its great parties.

In addition to Dream Island, there are three islets: Breeze, Treasure and View that have been developed urbanistically.

First resort

At the moment, the only resort on Dream Island will be Wynn, a company from Nevada (United States) very famous for its hotels in Las Vegas.

This is confirmed by the media Hotelier Middle Eas, recalling that Dream Island advertised a “new Ibiza” where there would be two “mega clubs”, four beach clubs, five hotels and 100 restaurants, which would be completed by 2018. In addition, they even said that they wanted to bring the Burning Man festival and the best DJs in the world there.

According to the media preview, the first hotel on Dream Island will have 1,000 rooms, a luxury shopping center, a meeting and convention center, a spa, 10 restaurants and non-specific entertainment options.

The builders of Dream Island announced an investment of 44,000 million euros to turn that island into the new Ibiza, but the project that was going to open in 2018, was stalled until four years later. Will it be the beginning of the new Ibiza competition?
